Sandy Colony, April-May 2017
Last month, 2 friends and I returned from a glorious trip to Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan. We had originally planned to travel to Iran, but when it became apparent that visas were not to be issued to Americans, we looked about for other options. It was our good fortune and quite serendipitous that we met Zulya Rajabova and learned about Silk Road Treasure Tours.
Despite a very short lead time, Zulya scheduled a wonderful 2 week tour for us to Central Asia Stans. She secured the necessary paperwork to expedite our Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan visas, booked boutique hotels which we favor and arranged multiple opportunities for us to meet, dine and converse with local residents. Every portion of our Central Asia journey was meticulously planned and executed.
As a boutique tour operator myself, I am very aware of the amount of work involved in planning a problem-free trip for travelers. I pride myself on having established partnerships with reliable, honest, and hard working local operators in the countries my groups visit. I can state unequivocally that Zulya ranks amongst the best I have ever met. She is a gem.
If you are contemplating a trip to Uzbekistan, I highly recommend getting in touch with Zulya Rajabova at Silk Road Treasure Tours. You’ll be glad you did.
