Day 01: Arrival-Tehran

Arrival in Tehran. You will be met by your guide and driver and transfer to the hotel

Day 02: Tehran

Set against the Alborz Mountains is Tehran, the capital of the country. Visit the Nyavaran and Saad Abad Shah Palaces. Explore Glisten Palace and the Archaeological and Islamic Art Museum ( the finest museum in Iran) to see their collections and gain an overview  of ancient Persian civilisation.  Take a break and savor a cup of Iranian coffee, a ramble in Park-e Shahr (City Park), and enjoy a delicious kebab. Tehran is a feast for the senses and the Bazaars are famous for their chaotic blend of vendors and stalls selling every manner of goods from heady spices and henna, brass and silver ornaments to regional ceramics and famous Persian rugs.
This evening we head for the ancient city of Shiraz, a point of high-culture, education, and beauty.  Dinner.

Day 03: Shiraz – Persepolis

Shiraz is one of the most important cities of the medieval Islamic world, a place of art and scholars, gardens and nightingales. Situated in the foothills of the Zagros Mountains, its altitude gives it a temperate climate with tree lined avenues and rose gardens. Cyprus trees line the Bagh-e Eram (Garden of Paradise), and the Jahan Nama Garden is similarly elegant. In the older section of town the bulb and pear-shaped domes of its mosques create a picturesque silhouette. The Arg-e Karim Khan, a massive citadel boasting a large pool and wax figurines adorned in traditional Iranian dress dominates the city center. The tombs of Hafez and Sa'di, two of the greatest poets in the Persian literary tradition are here, too. The ruins of the ancient city of Persepolis are only a short drive away. Walk in the footsteps of Kings Darius and Xerxes amidst the remains of colossal buildings, the Hall of 100 Columns, artfully carved friezes and cuneiform inscriptions.

Day 04: Shiraz - Yazd

Drive to Yazd, en route we'll explore the ancient sites, villages and bazaars. Arrival in Yazd.

Day 05: Yazd

Yazd is one of the oldest cities in the world, the holiest city for Zoraastrians and an open air museum. Marco Polo called it "The Good and Noble City of Yazd". Today we'll visit the 14th c. Friday Mosque and the silk weaving workshop where exquisite brocades are still made on traditional looms. Then it on through beautiful narrow alleys and to the highest wind tower of city. Yazd is also famous for its handicrafts and this a great opportunity to choose the best ceramics and rugs.

Day 06: Yazd- Isfahan

Visit the Zoroastrian temple where the sacred fire has been kept alive for hundreds of years. Learn more about Zoroastrism, the main religion before the introduction of Islam. Explore the Towers of Silence Zoroastrian necropolis located at the outskirts of the city. A late afternoon drive takes us to Isfahan, visitilng Nareen Castle and the old caravanserai in Meibod en route. Arrival in Isfahan

Day 07: Isfahan

They say "Esfahan nesf-e jahan ast" (Esfahan is half the world). Famous for its majestic bridges, fine carpets and inviting hospitality, we'll start with a
sightseeing tour around Imam square in the centre of Isfahan with monuments at four sides. The Imam mosque is covered inside and outside with intricate turquoise tiles, the Sheikh Lotfollah mosque contains some of the best mosaics from the 17th century, and Ali Ghapoo Palace was the first skyscraper in Iran. In the Isfahan bazaar you can visit the workshops of artists who paint traditional miniatures. In the afternoon visit the Armenian quarter of Jolfa, Vank cathedral, the Friday mosque and Shaking Minarets . We will also visit Si-o-Se Pol (thirty three) and Khajoo bridges over the Zayandrud river, and relax in a traditional tea house. Here's an opportunity to try a Persian water pipe!

Day 08 : Isfahan-Kashan- Abyaneh- Tehran

En route to Abyaneh we will visit the Fin complex in Kashan, a city well known for carpet weaving. Abyaneh is a fascinating village with colorfully dressed inhabitants and mud brick houses where little has changed for several centuries. On the way back to Tehran we will visit the Hazret Masomeh Shrine and the Quran museum.
Upon arrival in Tehran we will see the Imam Khomeini Shrine.
