Founder and President
Zulya Rajabova has the heart and soul of an artist. Her passion is to create fabulous, awe-inspiring memories for each of her clients on their journeys. Zulya founded Silk Road Treasure Tours to invite travelers to discover her special part of the world, Central Asia.

A native of Bukhara, Uzbekistan, Zulya has been fascinated with the intriguing history, incredible culture and outstanding natural wonders of the Great Silk Road region – and beyond.

From a chance meeting with a tourist as a child and her first "Hello", Zulya was inspired to master foreign languages and explore the world as a devoted travel professional. Fluent in German, Russian, English, Uzbeki and Farsi, she taught languages at Bukhara University in Uzbekistan. She became an interpreter, and then a tour guide for the Uzbek Tourism Ministry escorting journalists, photographers, professors, diplomats and heads of state. After settling in the United States in 2008, Zulya founded Silk Road Treasure Tours.

Her goal? To inspire you to travel to her homeland Uzbekistan in the heart of Central Asia, to neighboring Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan, and to other fascinating destinations along the ancient Silk Road.

Zulya Rajabova has developed a successful, highly-respected tour company that focuses on the ultimate comfort, safety and satisfaction of each client. At Silk Road Treasure Tours, Zulya has a caring administrative staff, and a trained and dedicated core of multilingual, professional, licensed tour guides and local specialists for all of the destinations in her travel portfolio. Members of her team in the U.S. and abroad understand and deliver the high level of service that travelers expect. Zulya's in-depth knowledge and long-standing "insider" relationships with hoteliers, restaurateurs, and travel professionals throughout Central Asia ensure a perfect itinerary and a seamless journey for her Silk Road travelers.

Central Asia offers extraordinary travel experiences. At Silk Road Treasure Tours, Zulya fine-tunes the essential aspects of foreign travel – smooth border crossings and transportation connections, visa services, and foreign currency and exchange. Prior to clients' departures, Zulya thoroughly reviews itineraries and activities with them. They are well-informed and well-prepared with every detail taken care of.

Zulya Rajabova customizes itineraries to meet the specific interests of her travelers, which may include meetings with business, industrial or medical professionals or craftsmen and artists, behind-the-scenes tours, festivals, shopping, or unique musical or sporting events.

Condé Nast Traveler® magazine has 8 times awarded Zulya the title, Top Travel Specialist for Central Asia. She has been featured on BBC Travel, and in The New York Times, The Boston Globe, USA Today, San Francisco Chronicle, Travel Agent and Recommend.
