Day 1. Arrival in Bishkek You will be met at the airport and transferred to the Sokuluk gorge (75 km), with camping (altitude 2000 m) and a radial trek up Ashu-Tor gorge. The duration of this trek is a little more than 3 hours. In the beginning of trek, you will walk on an old road going through a forest. When passing the forest area, you will arrive to a place where of two rivers meet – our trek finish point. Return to the camp. (Tent Camp).
Day 3. Trek from camp 1 to camp 2 along Sokuluk gorge (4-5 hours). We will start our today's trek up along Sokuluk Gorge. After 40 minutes, arrive to the Sharkyratma River and go up to the waterfall. It is possible to rest here, take photos, and fill up your flask with clean mountain water. Afterwards, continue along Sokuluk River until its confluence with the Kichitor River, and then cross it. Continue trek up to the place where the Kichitor meets the Chon-Tor River after the short rest. Cross this river wade and organize tent camp #2 near the little mountain lake. Tent camp #2 is located at an altitude of 2900 m.
Day 4. Trek from camp 2 to camp 3 over Ozyornyiy Pass (3900 m) 5-6 hours. At 09:00, start from camp #2 after breakfast and continue to trek up along the Vostochniy Sokuluk Gorge towards Ozyorniy Pass. You can see glacier lakes below to the right, and ahead to the east are two Passes, one of which is the main destination for our trek. The trek up the Ozyorniy Pass (3900 m) is about 2 hours. There will be a beautiful panorama of Sokuluk and Ala-Archa Gorges, as well as the Kyrgyz Range, with many white summits over 4000 meters high. The trek down from this pass to Ala-Archa Valley takes 1.5 hours. Organize tent camp #3 not far from the road, on green glade. Tent camp #3 is located at an altitude of 3000 meters.
Day 5. Radial trek to Ala-Archa Glacier (4-5 hours). The radial trek from tent camp #3 to Verhniaya Ala-Archa Glacier is today. At 10:00, start trek up the Ala-Archa Gorge, and reach the glacier after 2 hours. You can see the changes in vegetation from various alpine meadow grass and flowers to mosses and lichens common in permafrost. Ala-Archa Glacier was a very popular place during the USSR, as soviet ski-men trained here in thesummer. The abandoned ski center is still remaining, and you can visit it during your trek down from the Glacier to tent camp #3.
Day 6. Trek from camp 3 to alpine camp "Ala-Archa", transfer to Bishkek (5-6 hours). Start trekking down Ala-Archa Gorge after breakfast and, after approximately 1 hour, come to a foot-bridge and cross Ala-Archa River. Continue trek down by the old road to the second foot-bridge, cross river again to the right side, and continue moving down to the climb camp. The meeting with your bus is at the climb camp. Excursion to memorial alpinist's cemetery after a short rest. You will see the rocks, on which alpinists train. Go up on the path, which goes to the cemetery. The wonderful view of Ak-Say Gorge will appear during our trek up. You can see beautiful peaks with an altitude over 5000 meters. The memorial alpinist's cemetery is located in the fir forest along the path, which goes to Adygene Valley. It was founded during Soviet rule, in memory of alpinists who died in these places. Everybody who passes this place leaves flowers and signs a special guestbook. After trek down to the car, lunch and transfer to Bishkek. Free time. The National Natural Park "Ala-Archa" was founded in 1976; it is located in the valley of the same name, 35 km from Bishkek among the mountains.
Day 07. Bishkek. Sightseeing tour. Oak Park, Ala-Too Square, Philharmonic, Statue of Manas, Victory Square. Visit the Central Museum, the Panfilov park and the bazaar. Dinner.
