Our Silk Road travel in the fall of 2011 was wonderful-so may sights and memories.  Zulya Rajabova worked with us to put together a Silk Road custom trip to Western China and Uzbekistan that perfectly met our needs; she arranged for visas, and kept in touch during our trip to make sure that everything ran smoothly. By taking a private journey with guide and driver at each location we were able to optimize our time. The same trip with a tour group would have taken much more time and would have had to satisfy the interests of many travelers, not just two. Our guides and drivers in both China and Uzbekistan were excellent, knowledgeable and extremely pleasant and were able to deal with unforeseen circumstances when needed. In Uzbekistan, especially, we were impressed by the hospitality of the people, and were even invited to a local wedding. We were very pleased with Zulya's Silk Road Travel arrangements--and commend her enthusiasm, warmth, knowledge and attention to detail.

I really truly think that Uzbekistan is the best country I have ever been to, and I’ve been to a lot of countries in Asia and Europe. The people are so hospitable and friendly and the architecture is stunning – it takes your breath away. I never felt in danger at any time; even when we were walking through the old cities on our own, I didn’t feel intimidated in the slightest.

My husband and I traveled independently for three weeks in April, 2011 to Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan with Zulya Rajabova’s “Silk Road Treasure Tours” .

Zulya helped plan our trip. She was extraordinarily helpful, resourceful and enthusiast. She provided us with the type of personal service only an independent travel service with an intimate knowledge and love of the area can provide. She helped us resolve complications and make adjustments during our trip that were not even related to her arrangements.

Her guides were smart, well educated and helped us meet local people and provided us with a nuanced view of the contemporary vs. the historical aspects of the region.

Recently we took the trip of a lifetime arranged by Silk Road Treasure Tours. It was a magnificent 2 week journey to Turkey and we couldn’t have been happier with everything. Zulya Rajabova is a master at her trade.  As we travelled through Istanbul, Cappadocia and Antalya, every detail was timed to perfection. Our accommodations, tour guides and schedule were all right on. We never felt rushed and we always knew she was only a call away if we needed anything. If we didn’t contact her, she always made a point to check in with us or our guides to make sure were completely happy. This trip was to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and it far exceeded our expectations.  Though we are well travelled, this so far has been our most precious and memorable trip – Turkey is a wonderland of beauty and mystery and friendly people, and Zulya planned a journey that pleased us so much, we are already considering another visit to share this experience with friends and family. We have every intention of travelling with Silk Road Treasure Tours again. It is heartwarming how devoted Zulya Rajabova is to her travelers, and refreshing how well she knows how to give a glorious tour.
